I'm in love with the Giant OCR1.

A little more than I wanted to spend on a bike.

Find a bike that works for you. The Giant OCR1 works for me.

I looked into a bunch of different aluminum frame bikes in the same price range before I settled on the OCR1. What it really came down to was the fit. My advice to anyone out there considering a few different bikes is to ride them all and see what works best. If you're not comfortable on a bike then you won't ride it, and all the research in the world won't be worth anything. All the components on bikes in the same range are all pretty similar. I got Shimano 105 components and Xero wheels and they have performed really well over the past few weeks. Someday I'll get into club riding and be happy that I shelled out a little more than the most basic "entry-level" bikes. But again, the bottom line is that you need to ride a few bikes to see what works the best. I have a bit of a long torso and shorter legs, so this bike feels tailored to me.
